Ingredients:
- 250 gm plain flour
- 50 gm semolina
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp cooking soda
- 60 ml yogurt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- salt to taste
- 140 ml water
Recipe:
- Take plain flour in a mixing bowl. Add semolina, baking powder, cooking soda, sugar and salt. Mix all ingredients well. Now add yogurt and by adding water make smooth dough.
- Knead the dough in soft consistency. Cover it with damp cloth and allow to rest for 3-4 hours.
- After the resting time you see the dough is more soft, moist and slightly rises. Knead dough once again.
- Divide the dough to equal sized balls. Roll it to big sized poori. Heat oil in a thick bottomed wok. Gently drop the rolled puri in hot oil. wait till it puffs up and flip it to the other side. Deep fry until it turns golden and crisp on both sides.
- Serve with choice of curry.
