By adding roasted and socked saffron powder in little water, you an enjoy saffron rice!
Serves 2 people
Recipe:
- Soak rice for at least 10 to 15 minutes.
- In a saucepan, add ghee and add cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
- Now add drained rice to the ghee. Stir well to make sure all rice are coated with ghee.
- Now add boiling water and stir well to make sure rice are not stuck to the pot.
- Now let it cook on high flame for about 3/4 min. When you can see rice are getting bigger and cooking well, turn the gas to really low heat.
- Cover the rice with the lid and let it cook for another 8 minutes or so.
- ** Don’t stir the rice in the middle.
- By adding chopped carrot and some peas you can enjoy pilau rice!
