Ingredients:
200 gm Paneer
1 brown medium Onion
2 fresh Tomato puree
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Karhi spices powder
1/2 cup water
1 cm grated ginger
1/4 tsp tumeric
Salt to taste
Recipe:
In a sauce pan, take 1 tsp oil and fry whole paneer block. lightly fry on both side of the paneer block if it’s flat. If the paneer block is square, fry it on all side.
Now use the same sauce pan once the paneer is fried. In the sauce pan add another spoon of oil. As the oil is heating up, add add grated ginger and stir for few seconds. Now add grated or finally chopped onion. Now let the onion and ginger cook on law heat for 5 min. If require add some water to help cook onion. Now after 5 min, add all dry spices and cook the onion and spices for 1 minute. Now add 2 tbsp water and let the onion and spices cook on law heat till all water has evaporated and oil is separating from the onion gravy. Now add tomato puree and mix everything well. Let the tomato and cook with rest of the onion spice, till oil starts to separate again.
Meanwhile cut the paneer block into small pieces. Once the oil separate in the tomato gravy, add paneer cubes and mix everything well. Now add 3 tbsp water and cook till the gravy becomes thick.
Garnish with the chopped coriander and serve with indian bread or rice.
