Ingredients:
- 400 gm Prawns (without shell)
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Methi seed
- 3-4 Cloves
- 3-4 Black pepper
- 1 quite small piece of Cinnamon stick
- 2 tsp Coriander and Cumin powder
- 2 tbsp Ginger and Garlic (crushed or paste)
- 1/2 tsp Green chopped chilli
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp Red chilli powder
- Hand full chopped coriander
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
Recipe:
- Make sure prawns are clean and veins has been removed.
- In a saucepan, take oil and add cloves, methi seed, peppercorn and cinnamon stick. Let the whole spices crackle. This will take 20-30 seconds.
- Now add ginger-garlic paste and cook for half a minute or so add cumin and coriander powder and cook for a further half min or so. Now add turmeric and stir well. Now add tomato puree.
- Now add green chilli, red chilli powder and mix everything well. Let it cook for 5 min or so till oil start separating from the tomato sauce.
- Now add prawns, mix everything well. Add 1/2 cup of water and let the prawn cook for 10 to 15 min.
- Add garma masala and cook for another 2-3 min. Add lemon juice. Add water if prefer little more sauce in the curry.
- Turn off the heat and add chopped coriander leaves. Enjoy while hot with rice or a choice of Indian bead!
