Pumpkin Seed Chiki (Snaps)

Serves 4-6 people

Ingredients

  • 40 gm sugar
  • 80 gm pumpkin seed
  • 1 tsp oil

Method

  • In a non still sauce pan, take oil.
  • Switch hob on and add sugar in the oil.
  • Turn the heat on medium to low heat.
  • Let the sugar melt and caramelise
  • Once all sugar has melted, add pumpkin seeds,
  • Mix the seed well for 1 to 2 minutes
  • Turn the heat off.
  • Keep mixing if some seeds still not mixed well with sugar.
  • On a flat surface or in a baking tray, take a baking sheet or silicon sheet.
  • Empty the pumpkin seed and sugar mixture on the baking sheet or silicon sheet.
  • Flatten evenly all the mixture on the sheet.
  • Let it cook down for about 5 minutes.
  • Now gently move the baking sheet on the chopping board and cut them into desire size pieces.
  • Or not.. you can just break them in the smaller pieces and enjoy!
