I have been making the usual shortcut pastry for quiches until I saw my friend’s video for this pastry recipe. This recipe is from her mother-in-law, and she has learned it from her mother. So, this recipe is two generations old, a French recipe.
Recipe:
- Mix oil and butter and salt in the flour.
- The mixture will have a wet sand consistency.
- Add water and make dough.
- Cover it and let it set for 30 min.
- Roll and fill the quiche with choice of your filling and cook it without blind backing.
